Whenever I watch videos in a browser or shoot a video with photobooth, or sometimes using Skype my macbook becomes as loud as a hair-dryer. Is it possible to clean the cooler filter? Where is the cooler filter. I had this problem on a Medion laptop and just had to clean the dust away from the filter. Does anyone have any ideas.
The details of my mac are below.

If by "cooler filter" you mean the fan...yes it can be cleaned...but you need to be able to take open the computer to do it.

p.s. By the way...it's pretty much normal for the fans to increase in rpm when doing what you mentioned (watching videos, etc.).

Fan gets loud

Thanks,

I understand its normal for the fan to get a little faster and perhaps louder but if its so loud its no fun then its just too much. Is there a video on Youtube showing how to take the mac apart and clean the fan or air filter?

Many thanks

Ken
