    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.

Hi all,

Quite new to iMovies at the moment, the question I have is what is the best way to store un-edited iMovie files to disc?

I have a newborn baby so I'm obviously recording a lot & I'm now in the process of making a DVD on iMovies ('11) using the best (edited) clips.

I don't really want to lose the un-edited files though, in case I want to view them in the future.

Thanks.

Look in the Movies folder. You should see two folders:
- iMovie Events (video you've imported)
- iMovie Projects (video and other files where you have start to edit a project)

So if you just want to backup the 'raw' unedited source files after importing into iMovie 11 it's the iMovie Events folder you need to backup (or any/all the video files it contains)
