So who out there is a Tour Tragic ??
I am. I get many nights of sleeplessness which doesn't bother me because of insomnia. I hate riding bikes and have absolutely nothing to do with them, but i love to watch the athleticism of these guys. The gust and determination they have to get up every morning and push there bodies through pain and more pain.
I was bought to the Tour from a gent we all know. . . . . . The Great Lance Armstrong.
When he quit the tour because of his Cancer and then came back to win was the most amazing feat, and the book he wrote about his Cancer Battle and the fight he took to it was nothing but inspirational. I read the book and passed it onto my mum, herself dying of Cancer , and fighting it for the past 17yrs. I do believe that it was part in Lances words in the book that gave her the ability to fight it for a few more years. She to this day still quotes some of what Lance said in his book :)
Anyways back to the Tour.
Skoda/SBS has made yet another amazing App for it App Store - SBS Tour de France Skoda Tour Tracker 2012.
It will be a minute by minute update within the App if you can't get to see it on the box, but as it stands its only been the first day of riding with the first Stage the Paris Sprint.

Wiggo is in top form, he has won the Paris-Nice, the Tour of Romandie and the Dauphine this year and you should put some dollars on him to win the GC because there are more TT stages in it this year than any other.

Allez-Allez!!

Even though "Wiggo" has done so well in the past so many months i still have to back Cadel for line honours again. I think at the end he will find the Schleck bros (oops only Frank is riding this year) will find him in the hills again and give him a run as he/they always do.....
Ill have a sleepless July this year :)

Looking at the route, and as an ex racing cyclist, I have to say that it's Wiggo's to lose.

Barring an accident or illness he'll be in yellow in Paris.

Allez Bradley.......

He's a nice bloke Cadel but he always looks a bit fragile and dare I say it not very lucky. Still winning the TdF at 34 years old is no mean feat but I don't think he's got it in him this year. You've had some good cyclists over the years..I remember Phil Anderson in his prime was great to watch.

Anyway may the best man win...but I still think Wiggo:p

Phil Anderson was my hero.

Can anyone remember the old "Winning" magazine from the 80s - superb photos (especially the TdF special)?

He's a bit special isn't he. Did somebody attack after a crash?

Great Stage today. Good breakaway win for Pinto and Cadel had a crafty dig at Wiggins' lead..but the Brit will be off last in Yellow tomorrow in the TT.

Yea just goes to shows Cadel is good in the hills and he will be a force when it comes to the BIG hill stages. It is a shame both the Shlecks aren't there though. he had a great fight ith both of them in the last stage last year to take it out.

Cycling is my expensive hobby, but racing does little for me. I do like BW's attitude though!

Funny that. My wife's FAR more into TdF than I am. She doesn't ride, I do. Go figure.
