If you just signed up, you got 5GB free..why not use that up before you go looking for the bonus space? I've been using Dropbox for a long time now and have barely used up about 1.5GB with the stuff I have on there..

Then use the free "Skydrive" from Microsoft which gives you 7 GB of free space. You'll need to register for a free MS "Live" userid.

Curious... how do you get 5GB free? I signed up about 2 weeks ago and only have 2GB of free space. Did I miss a setting, or promotion?

Sorry, I misspoke, it is 2GB for signing up, I've referred a few people and done some of the other steps since I signed up for Dropbox a long time ago and so I have more space..:)

+1 for SkyDrive. I was running out of free Dropbox space. Then SkyDrive came along. I like their iOS App much better than the Dropbox app and I got 25GB of space for free.
