Hi. My macbook display is not working so I connected it to my old gateway monitor. (the computer's fine, it's just the display) The mousepad works (arrow moves on gateway) but the screen is not my mac desktop. It's one of those space pics that come with the mac. Is there something I have to do to tell my mac to use the gateway? Can I do it with just the keyboard since I can't see my screen? Thanks. ex

You're in a little bit of a pickle there. You're in extended desktop mode and you need to be mirroring your original display. On older Macs the F7 key would have done this for you but I assume you're on a newer MacBook, so I think the key command you need is command-F1.
