First off, sorry if I posted this in the wrong section of the forum.

To the point, I'm setting up a mac mini server (10.7.4). It's got two disks, one of which I use solely for filesharing. Every person using the server has his own folder, which works like a charm.

Now administration asked for a sort of shared folder. No worries, make a folder, make a group, add members to group. Done is done right? Nope, for some reason it just won't work. The folder is accessible for only administration, and every member is able to save files and stuff.

Problem is this: When user1 saves a file and I try to open it from user2's account it triggers a "file is in use, open as read-only" message, even though it's not.

Has anyone encountered this before?

Also, when saving a file as user1 is it possible to change permissions so that user2 also has read/write permission?

Cheers.
