I download a file which was encoded h264 and the file type is .mkv I've tried using VLC but there are some video problems does anyone know of a good player for .mkv or how can I get Quicktime to play it?

yeah but for some reason it wont play it. I checked the QT Preferences but I couldn't see a .mkv capability.

I played 2 .mkv files today in Quicktime with the Perian plug in installed.
