Hi there,

Ive recently switched from a windows pc. I like to make web pages and code them in html using windows notepad.

When i try to do the same thing on a mac i can save it as html, but it shows all my code. (Using textEdit)

How do i write a html file on a mac while seeing the html code (if you get what i mean)?

Thanks in advance.

In the preferences set it to plain text and on the Open and Save tab Ignore Rich text. When saving select Save As and always give it a .html extension. It 10.4.3 Tiger here and it works everytime that way. When I first started using OSX Jaguar way back when, I had the same issue you are having. That should solve it. If not let me know.

Here is another thread here on Mac Forums about the same problem.
