Modal option works but Push doesn't

I'm new to this and have been playing around with the storyboard on the xcode 4.3 as I don't know any coding.

I can control click and drag to the next screen but the push option doesn't work when I try the app in the simulator, the modal option works in the sim..

any ideas?

Push is for when you're using a UINavigationController. Without it, push won't do anything.
