Ok,
long story short, my 2 kids wound up fighting over the laptop, with one pulling on the lcd and the other the keyboard. Well when i got into it I took the laptop. Now it won't close. The lid sits open at about a 35 degree angle. If I push it down it springs back open. When i close it, the front edge of the laptop is not flush with the edge of the lid. I have the apple care warranty. Is there any way they will fix it? What should I tell them? I know that some folks here have had this problem before.

Any other thoughts?

From my point of view, it looks like you will have to pay something, but that is not a warranty repair. Then again Apple may pay for the repair. I would tell the truth and see what happens. It all depend on the person that takes your call, you might get blessed (lucky). :)
