need to replace dvd

hi sorry for the newbi-ness but i need a new dvd rewritable and not sure where to buy or what might be compatible? Thanks in advance for any help! I want to update my old macbook pro mid 06' laptop to snow leopard 10.6 but the dvd keeps spitting the disk out so i would assume the dvd is bad and the info on the drive is in the pic. what to replace this with and where to buy?

Firstly make sure it is not the DVD by trying other media.
