Shared external drive

Is it possible to share an external drive from the public folder either by adding a shortcut or setting the computer up to load the drive image in the public folder

I just tried it in Tiger.

Adding it to the Public folder via an Alias did not work. However by enabling sharing on the Mac all external drives show up as mountable anyway. If you want to restrict rights on the ext drive just use permissions.
