Ok, I did a bit of searching and so far I have been unable to find an answer to this particular issue.
For some reason, on an irregular basis, my I Mac will alter the fonts. Not in a program, but the ones that are installed. Every now and then it forgets that it has certain fonts installed or they somehow get uninstalled or switched to different versions.
Example, on friday I was working on one document, I was using Arial Narrow (TT).
Now it's tuesday and I open the same document (in InDesign) and it says Arial Narrow (TT) is missing but I can change it to Arial Narrow (OTF). No one was here over the weekend to change it and the computer was shut down.
This happend with several other fonts and one time all the fonts got uninstalled.
So, does anyone know what's going on? I'm perplexed.
