reading a disk

I am trying to install photoshop elements on my mac. When I put the cd in nothing happens. How do I open the cd to tell it to run. This is the first time I have put a cd into the disk drive.

How about telling us what happens when you put the CD in the drive? What do you see? Can you read other CDs in the same drive?

Also, more information on what kind of Mac you have (OS version, RAM, processor, age etc) would be very helpful.

Your Mac's Specs
I Mac 27-inch 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 24GB ram. MacBook Pro 13-inch 2.5GHz dual-core Intel i5 16GB ram
Check that you are using the right disk.
My copy of Photoshop/Premiere elements had the Mac version on disk 3.
Not sure about if its the same with Photoshop only.
