Display Size 2560 x 1440

So, this maybe a really stupid question but when I have my screen set to 2560 x 1440, font size for everything is really small?!?!? Any idea what it should be or if this correct, or can it even be altered?

This is absolutely correct. I'm guessing you have a 27" iMac...and that's the way it is with such a LARGE resolution monitor.

If the font/text is too small...there are some tweaks that can be done.

There is no system wide font setting so you'll either have to resort to using the universal access tools in System Preferences (to zoom in for instance) or you can lower the resolution which will make everything bigger but blurrier (try it and you'll see what I mean).

Go to the:

- "Finder"/desktop
- "View" drop down menu
- select "Show View Options"
- then change the size of the font.

I believe the default font size is 12...and you can go up to 16.

Thank you gents for your assistance. Vansmith, that is the setting I was on before, slightly reduce sized but a little blurred so I thought that i would enlarge it. Tried the enlarging on view options so many thanks
