I have connected my new iMac to an existing PC dominated network and Share (NAS) drive. It is Western Digital World Book Network Share Drive. As I started to look through the directoies I now see .AppleDouble files in nearly every directory on the drive. Can somebody tell me if I should be worried about this? Is this normal? Will this prevent me from doing any file sharing or copying in the future? I should add that I see these .AppleDouble files when I view them on my PC. I don't see them when I view them on my iMac. (unless there is a "hidden file display" option that I have yet to discover for iMac

Mac Mini i5 (2014 High Sierra), iPhone X, Apple Watch, iPad Pro 12.9, AppleTV (4)
Nothing to worry about.

Open terminal and enter
defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores true
<press enter>

This will inhibit the creation of .DS_Store and .AppeDouble files from being created on network drives
