Refirbished ipad vs new

My company has the option of a co-paid ipad. Today it was sugested that I go with a refirbished. Are there any down sides?

Apple is one of the companies where you can't go wrong buying their refurbished stuff. The only downside is you don't get the original packaging. The item will look brand new and and you get the full warranty.

What Braven said. The product itself is indistinguishable from new in all respects. I'm not sure if there are any 2012 iPads available for refurb deals yet but an iPad 2 is also fine.
