    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. Yes, external hard drive, pen drive, email, dropbox, network, CD, DVD etc etc depends on the size really.

I have tried email and jump drive. Neither works although music part did play. I wonder whether or not it has anything to do with original pictures (not video) were taken with Toshiba Thrive Android. The pictures did transfer to Mac where video was made using pictures but then could not be transferred to pc using either jump drive or email.

What think you?

In what way?

The content and source doesn't make any difference. You can copy any file from Mac to PC. I'm guessing a jump drive is a USB flash drive?

If its not working I'd suggest it's that at fault

Thanks for your help. Here is update. Although video file could not be transferred via email (my daughter now informs me that the file was too big for an attachment and that for some reason the flash drive wouldn't work) I was able to transfer using cd. Haven't personally tried the flash drive yet.

So my question is - is there a way to deal with the problem of the file being too large to transfer via email?

All email services have limits to the size of an attachment. A google search will likely find the limit you have on your particular email supplier. How you deal with that is up to you.

Amongst other things you can:
1. not use email - upload to dropbox/skydrive/google drive/private you tube/etc. Then send a link to the file.
2. if you have to use email - re-author the file with higher compression/lower resolution
3. use splitting application to break the video into chunks that you can email. The recipient will then have to re-assemble on receipt.

I'd strongly suggest option 1. Upload to some kind of online storage and then send a link to the recipient who can download the file
