G5 to stereo issues

I have recently hooked my g5 up to my stereo receiver using a standard
A/V to mini plug. The plug goes into the speaker jack on the MAC and then into the audio/video inputs on the receiver. The problem is that i can only hook into my left speaker channel, the right channel is non-functioning. It isn't the receiver, when it's other functions are used, Tuner, DVD, and TAPE, the right side works fine. Any clue as to what the problem may be?

it might be a faulty av cable, i had one when i connected my ipod to my stereo, using the same cable but it was my left channel that didnt work, try another cable.
