How do I record on my new air book? I'm in a meeting and I don't want to type

Open up quicklime player,

go to file -> "New audio recording"

I would think that you might need a better mic than the built in one.

I would choose garage band for recordings which is on board already.
At the end you can improve and decorate your meetings with nice piano sounds, drums and bass:))))).
