Help with firmware

I have an iMac that I want to put Mac OS 9.2 on, it's the only working Mac OS CD that I have. When I try to install it tells me that I need to upgrade my firmware. I can't find the firmware updates in the CD Extras directory that it tells me that I am supposed to find them in. Please help me.
