Plug in Failure!

Hi all,

Whenever i'm watching video clips and I try to maximise the screen in FB, youtube or vimeo the screen goes blank and I'm left with the message 'Plug in Failure'!

What causes this and how can I stop it?

Further to my OP, I have uninstalled adobe flash player and reinstalled it. switching to full screen worked once on both vimeo and youtube then returned to give the same error message "plug in failure'!

I am using an imac os x 10.6.8
