I had an external hard drive that I use to use on my PC. When I got my MacBook Pro I formatted it to use on my Mac. I wanted to switch this external hard drive back over to my PC because I now have a 1TB external I want to use for my Mac. I placed all the files on to my mac for now to but when I plug the E.HD into my PC to format it back to NTFS it will not read the drive. Is there any way I can reformat it back to NTFS and be able to use it to read and write on XP without the MS-DOS Fat since it cannot write files larger than 4Gb?

Basically the PC is not recognizing the drive is even there due to the formatting. Try using Disk Utility on the Mac. Disk Utility should be able to format it as FAT 32. Once that is done plug the drive into the PC. you should be able to format it as NTFS from there.

If I understand what you want to do MacDrive Standard should do the trick. Do not partition the drive first. There is even a five day trial.

You're welcome. Hope that helps.
