Greetings,

My son's eMac screen just died. My old iBook's power cord was glitchy as to charging the battery when I quit using it) -- but is it possible to use an ethernet cable between the two machines? And/or is this the same as the mini DVI connection? Yes I don't know anything about it -- I just had the idea two computers could hook together if one's monitor was dead?

He's going to try a safe boot also -- but I see that refers to "blue screen" whereas his is dead as in black.

Thanks!

You might wish to try Target Mode instead if both machines have a working firewire port. See this Apple KB article.
