Hi All

I bought a G5 iMac (PPC) and want to move all my files to my new MacBook.

I setup timemachine and performed a full backup and restored it on to my MacBook, however it appears to only have moved across applications.

I have Filevault turned ON on the iMac and do not have space to turn it off.

I want to know how I can move the entire contents of iTunes and iPhoto

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Um, you didn't buy a new Mac. You bought a used one. That kind of changes the remedy. But, try that link.

You are indeed correct, sorry about that, it's new to me. How does it change the migration? I am running Lion on my macbook

Well, if it is truly new, and if purchased at an Apple store, they will move the files for you. That used to be free of charge, but I did it 5 years ago.
