Troubleshooting iTunes

Recently, I am experiencing troubles with iTunes. Whenever I try to enlarge or shrink the icons, the app unexpectedly quits. I am thinking of uninstalling iTunes from my computer and reinstalling it by downloading it online in apple store. Since the app came with my computer, I'm afraid this is not possible. Could this be a possible option?

iTunes can definitely be removed and re-installed and try that first if it's misbehaving. Also make sure you are using the latest version supported by your version of OS X..
