Battery Problem

Hey guys.... Have the new 15inch Powerbook and yesterday when I unplugged my powerbook my battery symbol went from half full down to red and shut off..it charged for a very long time.. Any suggestions?

it might not have been fully charged when you unplugged it.

See if it happens again and take it to the genius bar if it does and they should exchange it for you

Many of the new powerbooks shipped with bad batteries. I just had mine replaced and it works again. I would call apple support and have them send you a new battery. The problem is definitely known to them now.

Yeah, 2 brand new powerbooks we sold at work had the defect and had to be replaced...
Pretty shoddy if you ask me, especially considering Apple's recent other battery fiaskos...

Just talked to Apple and they think it is the battery also.. Thanks for the hlep...
