Microsoft Office "WORD" for Mac

I can find no way to delete documents I no longer need. I have tried all the obvious solutions - nothing works. Can anyone help?

In Finder, go to the file you no longer want, highlight, and with the context menu (right-click or control-click) hit delete.

You can also select a file and push Command + Delete if you're a keyboard shortcut kind of person.

You can also drag documents to the trash. I'm not sure how these three suggestions aren't "the obvious methods."

As an added note. Be sure to right click and select 'empty trash' once you have moved to docs you don't want to the trash.

And if you want to really really really delete the file - right click on the trash icon in the doc, press the command key and then select "secure empty trash".

Another way to delete is to highlight the file icon, then hit the "circle/slash" button in the toolbar.
