Celestron setup on Mac Mini

I am trying to set up a Celestron Digital Microscope on my new Mac Mini as an aid to enlarge sheet music. Instructions indicate that it works with the Photobooth which isn already on the Mini. Nothing happens when the Celestron is plugged into the Mini via usb cable. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
