How Can I move emails and save to desktop ??

I have a bunch of emails that i need to move from my mailbox and store as a file on my hard drive ... How can this be done ?

Doesn't Work - when i try to drag to desktop, it puts back into Mail

Does work. just tried it. You get a .eml file which you can save where you like - but why would you want to. You can save an email outside Mail but it still needs software, i.e.Mail to open it. Why not make a New folder in Mail and drag emails you wish to keep to that. I have one called receipts where I keep copies of all the payments for mail order purchases.

Does it need to be in a specific file type? I would just print it as a pdf. >_<"
