Hello everybody,

I was wondering if i should upgrade my internet speed. I have a 1.5 speed wireless connection with 13 Gega download a month.

It has been so far good enough for me but recently I have joined an online school where they do online webinars and whenever I view the recordings of the webinar or some ( not all) videos on websites. It gets stuck every now and then for a bit and i get that moving circle icon and then it works and then same thing happens again and again.

I 'm not able to watch it in one nice full sweep . I also get that circle icon whenever i try to go back or forth with the video ( i don't know if that is normal ).

Someone has suggested i check my flash player and java versions. I have a snow leopard mac and the java version i have is 6. 15 (so it's new) and i just downloaded flash player
11.2.202.221 but still the same happens

hope to hear from someone soon
Thank you

Upping your download speed would be beneficial but with a 13 GB download cap a month you had better be more concerned about going over. On line seminars streaming to your machine are going to use up your allotted bandwidth fairly quickly. You might want to monitor it very closely otherwise you may get "sticker shock" when you receive your next bill.

Thanks

I 'm not worried about the bill i've already payed the yearly package and if i exceed the the download limit they don't take more money it just becomes very slow till the next month (unless i pay)

thank you for replying. you have a point about the download. So you think i should increase both speed and download?. What speed and download limit do you recommend?

The package you select all depends on what your ISP offers. Who is your ISP?
