i need a higher volume

are there any programs out there that can raise the volume of movies. i have some avi files that i wanna watch but the volume is very low and its all the way up on my ibook and on mplayer.

I find that the volume increases exponetially when you plug in headphones on my PB. Try plugging in speakers or headphones and see if that works.

It's kind of a band-aid but if it's only a couple movie files it may be good enough.
