Snow Leopard

I just went from Leopard to Snow Leopard and there are a few changes.
However one is driving me nuts.
In my MAIL program, I use Notes a lot.
In SL, my 'notes' are now also in my inbox. Anyway to change this?
I deleted them from my inbox, but that also deleted them from my 'notes' area.

You will be pleased to know that in Lion, Notes is its own separate mailbox AND it syncs perfectly with Notes in iOS.
