I'm using Snow Leopard. I found an awesome wallpaper on Google Images for my background, but forgot to save it. I still have it set as my wallpaper, though, and am wondering if it's saved somewhere on the computer so I can copy it to my Wallpapers folder and change it up again?

Yes, it's probably saved somewhere. If it wasn't, the wallpaper would default back to the starfield once you restarted the computer.

If you were using Safari when you found the wallpaper (Mac people call it "desktop background" but whatever), the file may well be in your Downloads folder (the default place where files go) or whatever you have set as the default place.

Hi OP,

Also try system preferences > Desktop and screen saver > bottom right is a list of folders where it might be.

As per screen shot
