Powerbook is squeaking????

Hi there, first post. Bit of a weird one tho. My powerbook witch i've had for just over 3 years is now "squeaking"!!!! It sounds like its coming from the power input but i'm not sure, also my battery doesnt charge anymore, and is rarely recognized (top right, where it tells you how much power there is, its just an "X")
