Mini Port to HDMI Question.

Hey all!

I know that HDMI transfer video and audio. Now, I'm thinking about plugin my macbok pro 13.3 to my plasma TV using a "Mini port to HDMI" converter. Does the MBP output video and audio through the mini port?
