Is your screen resolution set to the native resolution of the screen you're using?

Apple menu => System Preferences => Displays. Report back which resolution is chosen (e.g. 1440x900, 1280x800, etc).

What happens if you click the little green button at the upper left corner of each of the windows?

It just enlarges the view but doesn't make the page fit without have to loose the top or bottom. The view is normal you just cant see the applications menus etc...

I must have pressed a pretty knarly combination to have caused this issue. Its driving me mad!

Thank you for your advice.

Sorry to jump in.

Is the zoom feature turned on in System Prefs>Universal Access by any chance? If it is turn it off.

Any chance we could get a screen shot? It's kind of hard to troubleshoot it blind.
