Hey all, I am new to this forum and apple computers. I just bought an ibook g4 12' yesterday. I have never used a mac before and I was wondering how do i maintain it (security wise). On windows i constantly had to run anitspyware/antivirus programs. How do I secure my mac? Do i need to download anti spyware and anti virus programs?

None it just works. No annoying spyware or viruses. But make sure you run the disk repair permissions in disk utilities. Like once a month

Welcome to the mac-forums, and congrats on your iBook (same comp as me).
Doubt it. Mac's are immune to all viruses so far. If you really want though, you could run an Anti-Virus app occasionally.
