this is getting ridiculous now...

China is now disputing the name of the iPad

Holy misleading post content, Batman. Proview is disputing Apple's rights to the iPad name in China, which belonged to them first but Apple claims to have made sufficient efforts to acquire. A Chinese court ruled in their favor, and Apple is trying to appeal that. Proview is now additionally trying to block Apple exports of the iPad in China (i.e. all iPads), but how successful they will be remains to be seen.

"Proview refuses to honour their agreement with Apple in China and a Hong Kong court has sided with Apple in this matter. Our case is still pending in mainland China."

That pretty much sums it up.

Too many...
I think it's somewhat funny how China is complaining about a potential infringement, when that is exactly what they do to everyone around the world. What hypocrites! And I mean this for everyone, not just for this one case with Apple.

MacBook Pro.
I'm getting tired of all the lawsuits. It's all about money and has nothing to do with tech. What a waste of effort and money.

No, that's not what it means at all. It's one court apparently low enough for an appeal to be possible, and even ignoring the ranking of the court, if we were to use this warped logic with US courts, it would be accurate for me to say America pickets its own soldiers' funerals with hateful signs.
