Macbook mini display port upgrade (late 2009)

Hi guys, as the title states, i'm wondering if it's possible to upgrade the minidisplay port on my macbook. It's a late 2009 model, and therefore only outputs video; no audio.

I have been using the headphone output for sound but it is cumbersome and requires a speaker system separate to the television for it to work, which i don't always have available.

If it is possible, is it easy? and where would i buy the parts?

It's not possible without changing out the entire logic board since the ports are mounted to the board.
