I have, several times, successfully moved my iTunes library to an external wireless hard drive - but it it keeps switching back to the default setting. Has anyone else had this problem?

iTunes will do this any time the external drive that holds your library isn't available. Happens to me all the time sine my library is on a Time Capsule.

There are two fixes for this problem. Either should work equally well:

1. Make sure the drive with your library is mounted before launching iTunes. This could be done via Automator or by adding the drive to your login items assuming it is powered on when you login.

2. If you forget to mount the drive before launching iTunes there is an easy fix. Quit iTunes and mount the external drive then relaunch iTunes. That is much faster than going to preferences, changing to the correct location and reloading the library.
