• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

1. I recently ran across the iMovie Sports Editor. This is a great function, which makes it easier for adding scores. However, it seems to only have one layout for scores, and the colors are hideous. Does anyone know if you can buy additional sports themes?

2. I'm recording my sons basketball games. As I record and edit them, each time I notice something different that I need to do to make it better. However, maybe some of you all have it down to a science. Any suggestions on how to edit a basketball game to make it interesting to the viewer. What I've improved within my own videos is...1. Only including baskets made and anything overly interesting that happens. 2. Add the score after each score. 3. Include stats. 4. Give it a beginning and ending, i.e. start from the tip, and clearly state when the game is over w/ the score.

From the below videos, do any of you see anything I can do to improve? Other than getting a better camera w/ higher quality?

I don't have time to look at the clips right now, but here's a couple of thing I can tell you without seeing it:

1. You can't buy additional layouts. I haven't tried the scores template, but MOST places where you can insert text of any kind can be modified (font type, colour, size etc). So you might be missing something there.

2. Endless baskets might get dull after a bit. Try some "colour" footage like crowd reactions, quick chats with benched players (if allowed) or parents. You may already be doing that, so if so nevermind. :)

I'll take a look at the clips when I get more time and offer any other thoughts I have.
