Small glitch

I am new to a mac and i have been messing around with the finder.
Today i accidently pulled out "Today" on to the desktop and now it seems to be permenantly stuck on my screen "Faded"

It's not on the desktop, it's showing up in your home folder. Hold down the command key and drag it to the desktop and let it go. It should go "poof" and disappear.

Have you tried restarting? It looks like a small graphical glitch which a restart should correct.
