hi guys,

I'm hoping you could assist with what I've been trying to figure out for the past few weeks.. and in my head it makes perfect sense - but it doesn't work in real life :p

I have 2 macs.

MacBook Pro (primary) - connected wirelessly to the internet via wireless router.
G5 tower (media) - connected via ethernet cable to router.

At the moment I'm copying files/media from my MBP to the G5 by ethernet to ethernet.

I want to be able to transfer files between them wirelessly.

Any suggestions?

I'm not an expert at this, but I can't see why this wouldn't work:

1. Turn on sharing on the G5.
2. See the device in your "shared" column in any finder window on the MBP
3. Drag file to shared folder.

You shouldn't need to change anything really. You already share over a network connection, albeit a direct one.

You should be able to do exactly what you're doing now when the G5 is cabled and the MBP is wireless
