Hello guys,

I recently got myself a new Mac (Lion) in Dec. 11, but I have been a keen windows user. However, as some of my programs are just made for Windows I decided to run Bootcamp. Worked great and I have Windows 7 Ultimate running. Only problem is the sound doesn't work and it's really bugging me! I have tried countless new sound drivers (realtek) but nothing seems to work. I saw that the way people fix this is by installing the Lion install disk while in Windows. The only problem is I don't have one :\. If anyone could give me any guidance as to how to fix this sound problem it would be much appreciated. :)

Thanks hope to hear from you soon

G'day and welcome to the forums.

You did burn a CD with drivers prior to the install?

Thanks for the reply :D

I don't think my Mac came with it (remember I am a noob to Mac's) :L. I only installed the Windows 7 disc. Any ideas?

Then you didn't pay attention when the Boot Camp Assistant directed you to download a driver disk image from Apple and burn it to a disk?

Not a problem. Open the Boot Camp assistant from OS X and then follow these instructions: (Note: it says for the Air but are the same for your machine)

HI, I'm no guru but was reading through the Boot Camp Installation and Setup guide (as I am having probs too) and it has a section about if the sound isn't working. Might help if the previous entry didn't solve it? Good luck.
