Hi guys

i'm working on a 36min sort of documentary as a project.

I used my Sony HD Camcorder HDR-XR160E to capture the footage. Everything worked great and the quality is excellent on my Imac too

The problem is here

I set the aspect ratio of the project to 16:9, I burnt by dvd and just checked it out on my LG television (its not old, bought last year)

To my surprise the footage is 'zoomed in' and cropped and the some letters of the text are cropped out. I checked if there's something wrong in the aspect ratio of the tv, and checked them all and still even on the 4:3 ratio bits of text are cropped out

I have friends coming over especially to show them the film in two days time and I'm worried about the issue

I checked my Imovie'11 settings and don't seem to find the answer...the ratio is 16:9

So what went wrong???

I would appreciate any answers ASAP, very grateful for anyone s help

regards from malta

Does it play OK on your Mac with DVD Player? If so then it's something to do with your TV or DVD player.

Greetings

I reckon that it's something to do with the TV-safe area and you haven't ensured that your text fits into that shape.

If you can beg, borrow, buy or steal a copy of David Pogue's missing manual, iMovie 11 and iDVD, have a look at page 376. It will explain all....

Best wishes
