Hi all,

I have tried everything to get sound working on my guest OS Windows 98 SE. Before you ask, I have trawled through the VUSE community threads and tried various methods to no avail. There is nothing wrong with the sound on the host OS.
Clearly this is a driver problem, or so I think; I simply haven't got the right driver or possibly even the right lines in the Config Editor yet. And just so you know, I do have VMWARE Tools installed on the guest OS.
I've spent a day or so trying to sort this out - can anyone help? If you recommend a driver for me to try, please provide a specific download link.

Thans in advance!

PS - Let me know if you need any more information (please be specific).

You think I haven't tried this already? I had said I've trawled through the VMWare forums. Also, PLEASE provide a SPECIFIC download link - this problem has consumed days of my time.

Thanks.

PS - Meant to say VMWare, not VUSE, first time - now I can't edit the post, however.

To anyone else who happens across this problem:
Use RUN - sec [Enter]
Locate missing files for drivers using D:\win98 and replace them in corresponding C: folders.
Re-install relevant drivers with new files.
Connect VMWare sound card.
Should do the trick!
