Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew of some good free editing software I could run on Snow Leopard. I have tried Gimp with no avail and the other stuff I have on my Linux PC is pretty bad. I know iPhoto is only $14 or something like that but it's out of my budget atm (broke highschool student with no job :p) Thanks for your help!

I'm wondering why iPhoto isn't already on this person's Mac.

Also, Picasa isn't really (photo) editing software. It's photo management software.

I don't care for Picasa (iPhoto is better) but it does have the ability to edit photos. Its editing capability is about on par with iPhoto but its management ability is not. But, since it's free.....

THere is also Seahore for layered editing, based on GIMP I believe but more Mac like

THanks guys, I have been using picasa and it has been great especially for being free, I will give seashore a try though too when I get some time. I don't have iphoto because it is on my original HDD and my new one had a fresh install of Snow Leopard on it so now I don't have it.

You can buy it for a whopping $15. I personally think it's way better than Picasa in every important respect.
