imac g3 worth upgrading

I have a imac g3 in storage, and I was wondering if it would be cheeper to upgrade my imac g3 as opposed to buying another mac. If it would be cheeper how much would it be geting all the upgrades, where can I find the parts, and what will I need to upgrade this imac g3.

I'd say it's probably not worth it. You can only run 10.5.8 and 10.7.2 is out. It's only a matter of time before 10.7 is supplanted. Always invest in hardware that will run the most recent OS to insure the longest possible useful life of same. I'm looking at the long term cost, not short term.

Silver M1 iMac 512/16/8/8 macOS 11.6
Not worth it. Can only upgrade the hard drive and memory to 1GB. Invest in a newer faster computer.
