I love my new MBP. However I just got Battlefield 3, and Im looking to install it on my new laptop. I have a chance to get Windows 7 Ultimate for a greatly reduced price in either a 32 or 64 bit application. Do you think that the 64 bit will be a better option? I have the upgraded intel chip so I feel that it should run it fine.

I have heard mixed reviews as far as running BF3 on macs?

Also, any tips when running bootcamp. I will backup all of my data just in case of a crash.

Give me yalls suggestions!

Thanks,
Patrick

By all means purchase the 64 bit version as that will "see" and use all your memory. The 32 bit version of Win7 will only use ~3.6 GB of memory regardless of how much is installed.

I have no experience with BF 3 but it should play OK if you have good graphics on your MBP. Since you didn't mention which MBP you have...... ?

The primary, number one tip, print the BootCamp guide available from the 1st screen when you open BootCamp Assistant. And then read it!

All of it!!! Twice. It's not that long... or hard... it answers almost every question you're going to have.

Do not stop reading just because you got to the answer you're looking for right now.

The time spent reading it - all of it - will save you at a minimum, quadruple that amount of time in running to the web to look up the answers that are clearly and concisely provided there.

We've seen countless questions asked and have watched people sit around and wait for answers for hours they could have found if they had only kept reading another 2 pages.
